Will Brenton is a BAFTA and RTS award winning creator and director of TV, best known in the UK for co-creating ‘The Tweenies’, a kids TV phenomenon. He went on to create, direct and produce over 15 series for TV which have appeared internationally on all major TV channels, including BBC, Nickelodeon, Disney, Sprout, ITV, C4 and Sky. His work isn't confined to kids content as he works as a regular director on the UK soaps, such as 'Eastenders', 'Hollyoaks' and 'Emmerdale'.
As well as TV, Will writes and directs theatre and arena shows, including 26 arena scale shows for brands as diverse as 'Doctor Who' to 'The Hairy Bikers' and even Mr Tumble! he has recently written an indie rock musical based on 'Dennis the Menace' and is about to start adapting Tove Jansson's 'The Moomins'. This year also sees Will taking over the reins from the always fabulous Susie Mckenna and writing the panto for the Hackney Empire - London's coolest panto by far!
‘Bad Books’ is the indie publishing label created by Will as a home for all the books he has written. The aim is to create a place where the stories are broad, relevant and fast paced, and where the imagination can run free in many different worlds, with characters that will stay with young readers throughout their lives.
